Living abroad doesn't mean standing aside when democracy at home is at stake. As Slovak and Czech citizens in Europe, many of us watch developments at home with concern — and want to do more than just follow the news.
As part of the ACT4RULE project, Transparency International Hungary has published a practical toolkit for civil society organisations working to protect democratic elections across Central and Eastern Europe. It draws on the outcomes of an international conference held in Budapest in March 2026, where experts from six countries shared strategies for combating disinformation, voter coercion, and platform manipulation.
Pražská kaviareň is proud to be part of this project — working to connect the Slovak and Czech diaspora with democratic processes at home, and organising public discussions across European cities ahead of the 2026 and 2027 elections.
The toolkit is free, available in English, Slovak, Czech and Hungarian, and designed for anyone — from established CSOs to newly formed citizen groups — who wants to get involved in election monitoring, voter mobilisation, or countering disinformation.
Download it, share it, and use it. Because democracy is everyone's business — wherever you live.
